Kim was such a warm and welcoming server. She really made us feel very at home our very first time here. The food was great. The serving of bacon was insane! Potatoes were seasoned well and pancakes had a great flavor. Eggs cooked perfectly. Wonderful coffee as well. Thanks Kim for a great experience! We will be coming back with friends in the future for sure. Me and my daughter had a great time.

One of the best cafes in town! Nick was such a great server this morning. Checked up on us and let us know about the status of our order and explained the edible flower. Honestly, I've never seen an edible flower at any cafe I went to on there dish and I am glad this is their signature piece for presentation. Check them out, they are the new cafe on the block!

The food was amazing! I'm glad we have another cafe in the NRH-Richland Hills area.
The only complaint I have is that the overeasy eggs I got were overcooked and it came out more as fried eggs than anything, but that's okay it didn't bother me.
I will for sure come back again!

I’m going to be recommending this place to everyone! The food not only tasted amazing—it went way beyond any expectations with fantastic presentation, quality ingredients, and little flourishes by the chef that made it feel super special!
Other positives: seated quickly, friendly and knowledgeable staff, the place is kept clean and smells good, the menu is easy to read and has a fantastic selection (good variety too, but not overwhelming so it’s not difficult to choose what to get), and a very reasonable wait time and fair prices for the wonderful quality of the food. You can tell there is a lot of love and care put into each dish. Our waitress, Heather, was very nice and gave us suggestions, and checked on us here and there. She told us the chef has decades of experience and co-owns the place. And the best part…he knows how to season potatoes.
I only wish I had room to try more! I’ll be back for sure.

We are from out of town and stumbled upon this little place when we put the wrong restaurant name into our GPS and ended up here. We decided to eat anyway, and I’m glad we did! Filling and wholesome food, very friendly staff, and they did a great job accommodating my gluten allergy.

PS - if you’re a water snob, you’ll appreciate that their water is filtered and delicious. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience at Roots Café and just had to leave a review! The atmosphere was very welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive, Emily was especially amazing. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and everything was super fresh. Prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes and quality. Highly recommend this place! My family and I loved it and will definitely be back.
